Here is a video recap of TacoConf 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQICO7uz_2k

TacoConf is a one day free event in Oakland that is designed to celebrate the amazing taco spots around town. Bring your bicycle, bring some friends, bring some cash and spend Cinco de Mayo 2013 casually riding in a group of bicycling taco enthusiasts around downtown and Fruitvale.

Throughout the day we will learn about the history of some taquerias, learn about Mexican food culture and try tacos from trucks, foodie upstarts and family owned taquerias.

Schedule: 11AM - meet at Snow Park. 12PM - bike to Tacos mi Rancho. 12:30PM - bike to Mi Grullense. 1:30PM - bike to Fruitvale Public Market (near Fruitvale BART). 2:30PM - bike to Tacos Sinaloa 3:30PM - bike to La Borinquena

What to bring

If you don't have a bicycle there are places like Manifesto Bikes in Oakland that rent daily for around 25 bucks. If you aren't able to ride a bicycle the most accessible place to meet up with the conf by car is at Snow Park at 11AM and La Borinquena at 3:30PM. Dietary Note: there will be vegetarian options available at most locations, but the only vegan friendly stop will be La Borinquena.
